Andrew and Laura Kate met in 2003 while playing mud volleyball at Campbell University. Their common love for bluegrass, Reformed theology, and Latin America drew them to one another.  Andrew, a mountain boy from western NC, convinced Laura Kate, a musician from the suburbs of Raleigh, to marry him in 2005.  After finishing their degrees from Campbell, the two shipped off to St. Louis in 2008, where Andrew received his M.Div. from Covenant Seminary and Laura Kate taught elementary music and Spanish.  In the midst of working at Ridge Haven during the summers, Andrew and Laura Kate met Eric Larsen and grew to love MTW’s ministry to Third Culture Kids. Through Eric, God began to lead the Luptons to join MTW’s Global Youth and Family Ministry.  The vision for reaching the next generation in Latin America was made more clear after visiting Bogotá, Colombia.  Andrew and Laura Kate had their first son, Fox, in January of 2012.  The Lupton family arrived in Colombia in February of 2013 and is excited about the adventure God has prepared for them.
